Woodhaven Park South – 1:30 – 3:30 pm
Bring your ice fishing rod and try your luck at the annual Youth Ice Fishing Derby! South Woodhaven Pond is stocked with perch, bluegill and northern pike. Holes will be pre-drilled for participants. Free hot cocoa (while supplies last).
MB Johnson Park – 10 am to 3 pm
Learn to Snowshoe and/or Skishoe with the North Country Trail Association, Nature of the North, and Moorhead Parks & Recreation at this FREE family fun day.
Equipment will be on hand for you to try out and they will offer mini-clinics (covering how-tos for snowshoes & skishoes) at 10am, noon, and 2pm. Come out to try out these great winter trail activities.
West Fargo Public Library – 10:30 am
Calling all fans of Disney’s Frozen! West Fargo Public Library is hosting a special Frozen STEM Storytime. Library staff will read stories about Disney’s Frozen, construction and STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math). Following storytime, kids will use their creativity, engineering and problem solving skills to build their own version of Elsa’s castle. Program is free and open to kids and families. No registration required.
Barnes & Noble – 2 pm
Join the crew at Barnes & Noble Saturday, February 23rd for exciting activities including building a Mini Emmet’s Dream House to take home with you, plus other giveaways while supplies last. Visit their Café and get a Blondie Blast for $1.

Skate City – 10 am – 12 pm
Superhero Skate, dress as your favorite hero! Parents skate free with child’s admission (regular rental fees apply).
Fargo Public Library – 2 – 4 pm
Try out a new game from the library’s collection or bring a favorite to play with family and friends. Join the team at the library for any of these family friendly events where they will feature a new game each month as well as having a variety of games available for free play. No pre-registration is required. This event is open to children, teens, and adults of all ages.
MSUM Planetarium – Twinkle Tots (Saturday – 10 am), Astro (Saturday – 7 pm), Space Cadets (Sunday – 3 pm)
Grab your space passport and adventure with us to the far-off reaches of our Solar System. Visit each planet and get a planet sticker for your passport. Fill in all the planets and you become an official Solar System Explorer! Each month will feature different planets to visit but we will also take a look at what is up in our sky for that month.
Rheault Farm – 6 – 8 pm
Kick off the Uniquely Fargo Series by embracing the winter and enjoying a free movie in the cold. Pack your blankets, bring a seat, grab some free s’mores popcorn for the first 100 guests, and settle in to watch a true classic Feeling a chill… No problem! Thunder Coffee is selling warm beverages to make sure everyone stays toasty. Don’t forget to dress warm!
This event is geared towards ages 21+. Fargo, the feature film, is rated R. Movie theater guidelines regarding entry to the film are followed.
Baker Garden & Gift – 2:30 pm
From recycled milk cartons like our ecopotz, to containers made of coconut fiber, there’s lots of great earth-friendly container alternatives to plastic trays! Come in and learn a little bit about different materials you can use to seed plants in, then get your hands dirty as you sow some seeds of your own to take home.
Cost: $10.00 (includes: Includes seeds, seedling pots and soil).

West Fargo Public Library – 6:30 pm
It’s Lego Mania night at the library! Bring your child over to the library and let them release their imagination onto our Lego collection. They will enjoy creating their own structures and building new worlds. We have a large supply of Legos for a fun night full of creative building. No registration required. Program is free and open to kids and families.
Fargo Public Library – 3 – 4:30 pm
It’s time to get crafty! Crafternoons returns to Northport on Tuesday, Jan. 29. Children up to age 12 are welcome to drop in anytime between 3 and 4:30 p.m. to get crafty at the library. Each week will feature a new craft. No registration is required to participate. They supply the materials – you supply the imagination!

Downtown Fargo – 10 am – 2 pm
Join the Downtown Community Partnership for the 4th annual Coffee and Cocoa Crawl! Bundle up the kids and grab your friends for a day of sipping and shopping! Admission is just $15 (10 and under free) and includes a mug and samples of coffee and cocoa at 26 different locations in Downtown Fargo.
A trolley will be provided free of charge for participants to utilize throughout the day. You can pick up your wristbands and mugs the day of the event at: 74 Broadway North located at the corner of Broadway and 1st ave.
Fargo Public Library – 11 am – 12 pm

Why not steer yourself right on down to the library? We’ll share stories, make crafts, and of course… have birthday cake! The Fargo Public Library, along with the Valley Reading Council, invites all ages to enjoy a celebration of Dr. Seuss. No pre-registration is required and all materials will be provided.
